Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Control
Prepare and deliver timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including full P&L and balance sheet analysis
Lead month-end close processes, including accruals, prepayments, and variance analysis
Ensure compliance with financial controls, policies, and procedures
Support statutory reporting and audit processes
Business Partnering
Act as a finance business partner to operational and site teams
Provide financial insight and challenge to support decision-making
Work closely with production teams to analyse efficiency, waste, and yield performance
Support with Capex, payback analysis, and Operational profitability
Costing & Manufacturing Finance
Maintain and develop standard costing models
Analyse production variances (labour, materials, overheads) and identify improvement opportunities
Monitor inventory valuation and stock controls
Support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
Budgeting & Forecasting
Drive the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles
Collaborate with department heads to develop realistic financial plans
Track performance against budget and provide actionable insights
Process Improvement
Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and reporting systems
Drive efficiencies through automation and improved data analysis
Contribute to finance transformation and system enhancements
Key Skills & Experience:
Essential:
Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
Significant experience in a management accounting role within manufacturing (ideally food or FMCG)
Strong understanding of standard costing and production finance
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
Proven ability to influence and partner with non-finance stakeholders
Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
Desirable:
· Experience in a multi-site or fast-paced production environment

· Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach
· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
· Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
· Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
